OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's tennis team fell 4-3 to Oral Roberts in Summit League play on Friday at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center.  The Mavericks move to 7-11 overall (0-2 Summit league), while the Golden Eagles improved to 3-8 (1-2).

Omaha dropped the doubles point to start the match.  Abdoul Ouattara and Matt Dunn lost 6-3 at No. 2 to Marcello Moreira and Andre Russo.  Hugo Piles Ballester and Ethan Henry fell 6-3 to Eddy Leardini and Kenneth Boykin at No. 3.  Davis Lawley and Nathan Reekie were leading 5-2 at No. 1, but the match went unfinished after the clinch.

The Mavericks won the first three singles matches to take a 3-1 lead.  Piles Ballester put UNO on the board with a 6-3, 6-3 on court three.  Dunn finished off Nikola Boskov 6-0, 7-6 (1) on court five.  Ouattara stopped Barnabas Koncz on court one 6-4, 6-3.

ORU rallied to win three straight three-set matches to claim the 4-3 win.

Omaha returns to the court on Saturday against Marquette at 4 p.m. at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
