CONROE, Texas – The Omaha softball team dropped a pair of games at the Lone Star Collegiate Classic, falling to Lamar 7-5 and Wisconsin 15-0 in five innings.
The Mavericks are now 0-4 on the season and play Nebraska on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 9 a.m. Links to live stats and video will be available on OMavs.com.
Lamar 7, Omaha 5

Jamie White all collected two hits in the opener.
Emma Dargy drew a pair of walks. Five different Mavericks scored, while Fisher, White and
Janae Cameron each drove in a run.
Omaha loaded the bases with two outs in the first inning. Dargy scampered home on a wild pitch to put the Mavericks in front 1-0.
Lamar tied the game in the bottom half of the frame on a pair of hits and an error. The Cardinals took a 2-1 lead in the second on a Savana Guidry RBI single.
Omaha drew level in the top of the fourth when White led off with a solo home run to center. Later in the inning, Fisher put the Mavericks in front 3-2 with an RBI single up the middle.
Lamar put five runs on the board in the bottom of the sixth on three hits and an error.
Omaha loaded the bases in the top of the seventh with no outs. Cameron hit a one-out single up the middle to score
Natalie Mostek. White lofted a sacrifice fly to bring home
Sydney Schelkopf, but a Maverick runner was thrown out at second to end the game.
Freshman
Ryanne Millington (0-2) took the loss for Omaha. Sophomore
Sydney Hampton started and pitched 2.0 innings allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Millington pitched the final 4.0 innings allowing five runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts.
Jade Lewis (1-1) picked up the win in relief, pitching 3.0 innings allowing two runs on four hits. Starter Mackenzie Savage went 4.0 innings allowing three runs on four hits and three walks.
Wisconsin 15, Omaha 0
Two Badger pitchers combined to limit the Mavericks to two hits and no runs. Starter Maddie Schwartz pitched 2.0 innings, allowing one hit with one strikeout. Caroline Hedgcock pitched the final 3.0 innings allowing only one hit and struck out two.
Omaha starter
Halley Jones (0-1) picked up the loss, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on nine hits and five walks with three strikeouts in 4.0 innings of work. Millington pitched the final inning allowing six runs (four earned) on three hits and four walks.
Mostek went 1-for-2 at the plate with a double, while Cameron finished the day 1-for-2.
Wisconsin took a 5-0 lead after two innings of play, before tacking on four runs in the fourth and six more in the fifth to end the game early.
