Scouting the South Dakota Coyotes
South Dakota is 20-3 overall and 8-1 in Summit League action following a 71-49 victory at Purdue Fort Wayne. Allison Arens and Ciara Duffy each scored 19 points, while Taylor Frederick added 15 points in the win.
Head coach Dawn Plitzuweit is in her third season in Vermillion, S.D. with a mark of 72-19 and has a career mark of 260-112 in 12 years.
Series History
Wednesday's game marks the 81st meeting all-time between Omaha and South Dakota, with the Coyotes leading the series, 45-35. In the Division I era, USD holds a 13-1 advantage in the series. The two teams last met Jan. 20, 2018, where South Dakota prevailed 80-49.
