OMAHA, Neb. – Due to inclement weather in Arkansas, the Omaha softball team's trip to the Michelle Short Memorial Classic has been canceled this weekend.
The Mavericks were scheduled to play four contests in Conway, Ark. beginning on Friday. Omaha was due to face Jackson State, North Alabama and the host Bears in the two-day event.
The games will not be rescheduled. Omaha will not play this weekend but will keep the option open of adding games to its schedule later in the season.
The next scheduled tournament for Omaha is the Woo Pig that is slated to begin on Feb. 28 in Fayetteville, Ark.
