OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha Hockey fans will have the opportunity to take the ice with their favorite players on Sunday, Feb. 24 when the team hosts 'Skate with the Mavs' at Baxter Arena. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m., and the event will run from noon – 1:15 p.m.
First National Bank is the title sponsor of the event.
The day will include an open-skate with the team, autographs and a tour of the locker room.
There will be two skating sessions: one session will start at noon and the second will start at 12:45 p.m. Check-in will take place in the Baxter Arena lobby from 11:15-11:45 a.m. Fans who register for the first skating session will have the opportunity to tour the Maverick locker room after their skating session, and fans who register for the second session will have the opportunity to tour the locker room from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Admission to the event is $5. Tickets must be reserved in advance. Space is limited to the first 100 kids (12 and under) for each session. Parents and spectators do not need to register.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own skates, although skates will be available for rent at Baxter Arena.
