Mavericks Travel To Kansas For Mid-Week Tilt

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha plays its fourth game of the season and its second on the road against the Kansas Jayhawks Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. live on Big 12 NOW on ESPN+.
 
QUICK HITS
• The game marks the second trip to Kansas in as many weeks, as the team fell 73-48 in Manhattan to K-State last Friday, Nov. 8.
• Omaha is coming off a 92-58 win over NAIA Peru State two last night inside Baxter Arena.
• The matchup against Kansas marks the final Power Five non-conference game of the regular season for Omaha.
Elena Pilakouta and Kia Wilson have reached double figures in scoring for all three games this season.
• Omaha trails the all-time series to Kansas 3-4.
• Since the Mavericks joined Division I (2011-present), the two teams have never squared off.

SCOUTING KANSAS
The Jayhawks enter the week with a 2-0 record after a pair of home wins over Indiana State and UIC. Kansas defeated the Sycamores 84-72 and followed up with a 91-50 victory over the Flames.
 
Kansas' guard Holly Kersgieter leads the team with 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Kersgieter is also the current Big 12 Player and Freshman of the Week for her two performances. Head coach Brandon Schneider is in his sixth year with the program and posts a 39-83 overall record. The Jayhawks were selected last in the Big 12 Preseason Poll, which came out on Oct. 10. The team also has four other players averaging in double figures through the first two games of the regular season.
