INSIDE SET ONE
South Dakota took the opening set by a score of 25-21. Omaha was in an early hole, but a kill by Rylee Marshall cut the deficit to 10-8. Three-straight Omaha points tied it up at 13-all. A 4-0 spurt put the Mavericks ahead 17-15 over South Dakota, but the lead was unable to hold. The Coyotes rallied back and went ahead 19-18. Omaha was able to tie the score up one more time at 19-all, but South Dakota closed the set with a 6-2 run.

INSIDE SET TWO
Omaha put itself in a 2-0 deficit after it dropped the second set by a score of 25-23. South Dakota went ahead 13-8 through the halfway portion of the frame. The Mavericks battled back and tied it at 14-all after a pair of attack errors by USD. Omaha eventually pulled ahead to as many as three (18-15) later in the set, but South Dakota was able to come back and take control once again. Both teams were neck-and-neck, but South Dakota edged Omaha by two on a pair of kills to win the set.

INSIDE SET THREE
The Mavericks and Coyotes traded blows throughout the third set, but Omaha was able to come away with the 25-20 win. Omaha trailed 13-10, but answered with a slew of six points and led 19-17 later on in the set. A kill by Leonard sparked a 6-1 run that was enough to close out the set, 25-20, and put Omaha on the board in the match.

INSIDE SET FOUR
For just the second time this season, Omaha forced a fifth set with a thrilling 27-25 victory in the fourth set. With their backs against the walls, Omaha trailed by as many as eight (18-10). Omaha later trailed 22-16, but overcame the late hole and surged a 7-1 run to tie it at 23-all.
