INSIDE SET ONE
Omaha jumped out to a 5-1 lead over Western Illinois after a kill by Sade. The Mavericks continued their run over Western Illinois and increased its lead at 11-4, capped off by an Anna Blaschko kill. Another Blaschko kill gave Omaha an eight-point advantage (19-11), which forced a WIU timeout. From there, Omaha closed out the set with a 6-3 spurt and won the opening set 25-14.

INSIDE SET TWO
The Mavericks had Western on their tail the entire set, but managed to pull out the two-point win, 25-23. A pair of kills by Sade and Rylee Marshall made it 11-8 Omaha. Two more Sade kills increased the Omaha lead (13-8) and forced another Leatherneck timeout. Omaha maintained the multi-point lead throughout the set until Western went on a small run and cut it to 24-23. Marshall, however, put an exclamation point on the set point and closed it out for the 25-23 win.

INSIDE SET THREE
For the entire set, Omaha did not relinquish the lead. The Mavericks and Leathernecks traded points in the early portion of the match as both teams were tied 7-7. Omaha proceeded to go on a 5-1 spurt and led 12-8. That proved to build enough of a gap for the Mavericks, as they eventually held a 22-15 lead over Western Illinois. A kill and a service ace by Blaschko capped off the run. Omaha was able to close out the match with a kill by Limback for the 25-18 win.
