OMAHA, Neb. – The Oral Roberts defense stifled the Maverick offense in the first half, but the Omaha women's soccer team netted a pair of goals in the second half to post a 2-1 win over Oral Roberts on Sunday afternoon at Caniglia Field.
The Mavericks improve to 5-9-1 (2-3-0) with the victory while the Golden Eagles fall to 4-8-3 (1-2-2).

How It Happened
- The Golden Eagles limited the Mavericks to no shots in the first half while tallying a 3-0 advantage in shots through the first 45 minutes.
- Oral Roberts took the first lead in the 46th minute when the ball struck the right post and landed in the back of the net off the foot of Jordan Langebartels.
- Omaha's Sydney Randall drew a penalty in the box after being held by an ORU defender while trying to collect the free kick by Jaden Thiem in the 66th minute.
- Abby Meader took the penalty kick, placing the ball into the right side of the net for her second goal of the season.
- Meader's attempt for the brace and game-winner was denied by the ORU goalkeeper in the 79th minute.
- Hannah Heinemann sent the ball forward down the left side to a sprinting Amanda Rapaduski, who took one dribble and blasted a left-footed snipe into the goal from 25 yards out to give Omaha a 2-1 lead in the 84th minute.
- Oral Roberts had one last attempt to tie the match in the 89th minute, but Kelli Keller's shot sailed high of the goal.
