SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Omaha men's soccer team went toe-to-toe with No. 17 Missouri State on the road Tuesday night, but a golden goal in the 107
th minute gave the Bears a 1-0 win over the Mavericks in Springfield, Mo.
The Mavericks drop to 1-6-2 on the season while Missouri State improves to 8-0-0.

How It Happened
- Omaha's first attempt came in the 23rd minute when Marcos Bautista fired the ball towards the goal from 10 yards outside the box, but the Missouri State keeper collected the juggling save to keep the Mavericks off the scoreboard.
- Maverick goalkeeper Jeremy Pollard leaped up to retrieve the MSU header and notch his second save of the match in the 54th minute.
- Zach Robbins came inches away from giving Omaha a one-goal lead after his header was swatted away with a one-handed save by the diving MSU keeper.
- In the final minute of regulation, Bautista sent a free kick into the box that weaved through traffic and almost bounced into the right side of the net before the diving save by the Missouri State keeper sent the match into overtime.
- Missouri State's Jack Denton delivered the free kick into the box from the right side and Ben Stroud played the bounce and tapped in the game-winner in the 107th minute to give the Bears the victory.
