OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer team fell to UC Davis 1-0 on Friday night at Caniglia Field in the 2018 season opener.
The Mavericks fell to 0-1-0, while the Aggies improved to 1-0-0.
The lone goal of the match came in the 51st minute when Robert Mejia intercepted a pass outside the Mavericks goal area. Mejia played a ball to Adam Mickelson who placed a shot past Omaha's
Matt Smith to give UC Davis a 1-0 lead that stood for the remainder of the match.

Omaha had a chance to level the game in the 73rd minute but
Diego Gutierrez's shot glanced off the left post.
