OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's soccer team took Caniglia Field for the first time Saturday evening.
The match consisted of two, 35-minute halves, and Team Black prevailed 2-0.
Senior
Erinoelle Clifton opened the scoring midway through the first half, blasting a shot into the net from 25-yards out to put the Black team in front 1-0.
Five minutes later,
Sophia Roux carved her way through the opposing defense before slipping her shot past the White team's goalkeeper for a 2-0 advantage.
The Mavericks face Memphis in their season opener on Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Mike Ross Soccer Complex in Memphis, Tenn.
