OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball team fell to Summit League foe South Dakota State 103-54 on Saturday afternoon at Baxter Arena.

Amber Vidal finished with a career-high 26 points with five 3-pointers and dished out a team-high three assists. Freshman
Claire Killian added 12 points on a 5-of-10 effort and a pair of treys. Junior
Kalen Phillips chipped in seven points, four rebounds and three assists.
Leaders for South Dakota State
Four Jackrabbit players scored in double figures, led by Macy Miller's 17 point, eight rebound, and seven assist performance. Ellie Thompson added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tylee Irwin chipped in 15 points off the bench, while Madison Guebert scored 14.
Team Stats
South Dakota State shot .569 (41-of-72) from the field and .419 (13-of-31) beyond the arc while holding Omaha to .286 (20-of-70) from the floor and .273 (9-of-33) behind the 3-point line. The Jackrabbits had the advantage on the glass, 47-34.
Inside the First Half
South Dakota State shot .571 (20-of-25) with 10 treys in the first half and had two players in double figures by the intermission. Vidal led the way for Omaha with 13 points and two steals in the opening 20 minutes. SDSU closed the half on a 9-2 run, taking a 54-27 lead into the locker room.
Inside the Second Half
The Jackrabbits opened the second half with a 12-5 run, led by five points by Miller. After a Killian 3-pointer brought the lead to under, SDSU closed the third period on a 6-2 run to led 75-43 after three quarters. Omaha went on a nearly five-minute scoring drought, and South Dakota State took advantage with a 12-0 run, followed shortly by another 12-0 surge. The Jackrabbits shot .568 (21-of-37) compared to the Mavericks .250 (10-of-40) from the floor in the second half.
Omaha is now 10-11 overall and 1-7 in Summit League play, while South Dakota State improved to 19-5 on the season and 8-1 in conference play.
