Women's Basketball Hosts CSU Bakersfield Sunday

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball team opens a two-game homestand starting with CSU Bakersfield on Sunday, Dec. 9.  Tipoff at Baxter Arena is set for 2 p.m.

The Opening Tip
•    Sophomore Claire Killian notched her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds against Creighton on Wednesday.
•    Junior Rayanna Carter scored a career-high 18 points and has scored in double figures in three straight games.
•    Omaha has assists on 111 of its 183 field goals, a remarkable 60.7 percent mark.
•    This season, Omaha is 3-0 when shooting 45.0 percent or better from the field.
•    Over the last four games, the Mavericks have allowed an average of 49.3 points to the opposition.
•    Omaha has four players who average 7.0 or more points per game, and nine different Mavericks have scored in double figures in at least one game.
•    The Mavericks rank second in The Summit League in rebounds per game and rebounding margin.
•    UNO is also in the conference top five in assists and steals.

Scouting the Omaha Mavericks
Omaha enters Sunday's game with a 4-4 record after falling 66-51 to Creighton on Wednesday.  Rayanna Carter scored a game-high 18 points, while Claire Killian posted her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Rayanna Carter averages 9.6 points per game to lead the Mavericks.  Elena Pilakouta averages 9.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.  Josie Filer is Omaha's top rebounder, grabbing 8.5 boards per contest.  Filer also averages 7.3 points per game.

As a team, the Mavericks average 60.8 points and 40.4 rebounds per game.  Omaha is shooting 39.6 percent from the field and 29.8 percent from long-range.  UNO is connecting on 63.9 percent of its free throws.

Scouting the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners
CSU Bakersfield enters Sunday's game with a 4-4 record after falling 64-56 to Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 1.  Alexxus Gilbert scored a game-high 17 points with five assists.

Gilbert averages 16.3 points and 4.5 assists per game to lead the Roadrunners.  Malayasia McHenry averages 11.1 points and 7.4 boards.

As a team, the Roadrunners average 68.8 points and 39.0 rebounds per game.  CSU Bakersfield is shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 25.6 percent from long-range.  CSUB is connecting on 63.0 percent of its free throws.

Series History
Omaha trails the all-time series with CSU Bakersfield 2-1.  Last season, the Mavericks fell 52-43 to the Roadrunners in Bakersfield, Calif.
