OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball team fell 66-51 to Creighton Wednesday at D.J. Sokol Arena.
With the loss, the Mavericks are 4-4 overall, while the Bluejays improved to 3-4.
Leaders for Omaha
Rayanna Carter scored a game-high 18 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field. Carter added three rebounds and an assist.
Claire Killian tallied her first career double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Josie Filer added eight points and eight boards, while
Elena Pilakouta chipped in six points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Leaders for Creighton
Audrey Faber led three Bluejays in double-figures with 16 points on 5-of-20 shooting from the field, including four three-pointers. Faber added nine rebounds, seven assists and three blocked shots. Jaylyn Agnew scored 13 points, grabbed nine boards, and blocked three shots. Chloe Dworak scored 12 points and four three-pointers.
Team Stats
Omaha shot 37.3 percent (22-of-59) from the field compared to Creighton's 36.4 percent (24-of-66). CU hit 31.8 percent (14-of-44) from long-range, while UNO connected on 25 percent (4-of-16) of its three-point attempts. The Mavericks finished 33.3 percent (3-of-9) at the free throw line compared to the Bluejays' 80 percent (4-of-5) from the stripe.
