OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against Campbell on Wednesday at Caniglia Field.
With the tie, the Mavericks move to 2-5-1, while the Camels are now 5-4-1.
Ugo Tritz was perfect between the posts, earning his third shutout of the season with four saves.
Diego Gutierrez led the Mavericks with five shots, while
Marcos Bautista added three.
Omaha forced Campbell into five saves, including two in the first overtime. Gutierrez had a chance to put the Mavericks in front in the 59th minute via penalty kick, but the Camel's Matt Karasinski made the save.
Campbell looked to have taken the lead in the 80th minute, but the goal was disallowed due to JJ Donnelly being offsides.
In the first overtime period, Karasinski knocked away a shot from
Nil Ayats to keep the score deadlocked.
Donnelly had a chance to steal the win for the Camels in the closing moments of the second overtime, but his shot went wide.
