Men’s Soccer Falls 2-0 to Cal State Fullerton

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday at Caniglia Field.

With the loss, the Mavericks are now 4-7-1 overall while the Titans improved to 7-5-6.

After playing a scoreless first half, Cal State Fullerton struck for the first goal of the match in the 57th minute.  Daniel Adoo headed home a corner kick from Robert Coronado to put the Titans ahead 1-0.

Cal State Fullerton added an insurance goal in the 76th minute.  Christian Pinzon blasted a right-footed shot from 25-yards out that found the upper right corner as the Titans extended its lead to 2-0.  Zico Bailey earned the assist.

Turning Point
In the first half, Ethan Bowman's left footed shot from the top of the box hit the post and bounded out of bounds.

•    Cal State Fullerton outshot Omaha 10-9 and held a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.
•    Both teams took three corner kicks.
•    Marcos Bautista led Omaha with three shots.
•    Fred Frimpong added two shots.
