POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The Omaha men's golf team is one of four teams tied for 10th after the second round of play at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate hosted by Old Dominion.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 290 in the middle round of the 54-hole event, tying them with North Dakota State, Akron and St. Joseph's with total scores of 594. Campbell continues to lead the tournament with a score of 546. UNC Wilmington is second at 569, and Drexel is third at 577.
Witchayapat Sinsrang took over the team scoring lead after the second round with a total of 142, even par. He shot a two-under round of 69 on Monday and sits in a tie for ninth in the field of 92 golfers.
Kevin Gordon is two strokes back at 144 after shooting his second straight one-over round of 72. He's tied for 17th.
Jonah Wright moved up to third on the team and into a tie for 64th overall with a total of 154 that included a second-round card of 73, a career best.
Cole Christain is two strokes back at 156 after shooting 78 in the second round. He's tied for 71st overall.
Nick Kagy shot 76 in round two and is now at 162 for the tournament, good for a tie for 86th.
The final round of the tournament and UNO's fall season begins at 7 a.m. CT from the Kilmarlic Golf Club.
