OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball team wraps up the first half of its Summit League schedule this week against North Dakota State. The Mavericks host the Bison on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. at Baxter Arena.

About the Omaha Mavericks
• Omaha enters the game on a six-game losing streak after falling 70-46 at South Dakota on Jan. 20.
• The Mavericks are 8-10 overall and 0-6 in Summit League action.
• Three UNO players average double-figure scoring: junior guard
Amber Vidal (11.5 ppg), junior guard
Jess Walter (11.3 ppg) and junior guard
Ellie Brecht (10.6 ppg).
• Junior center
Courtney Vaccher had her fourth double-digit rebounding game of the season vs. USD. Vaccher grabbed 13 boards including seven offensive caroms.

Claire Killian's 12 points led the Mavericks against the Coyotes and it was the first time this season that Killian led UNO in points.
• UNO won seven straight games from Nov. 17-Dec. 6, its longest winning streak since the 2007-8 season.
• This season Vidal has led the Mavericks in scoring eight times while Walter has led the team three times.
• Three Mavericks have had at least one 20-point scoring performance this season with Vidal going for 20+ four times.
• Omaha shot .500 or better as a team in three straight games from Nov. 30-Dec. 6 and four times overall this year.
• The Mavericks were picked fifth in the league's 2017-18 preseason poll.
• Last season, UNO finished 16-15 overall and fifth in the Summit League with a mark of 8-8.

About the North Dakota State Bison
North Dakota State enters Wednesday's game with an 8-11 overall record and a 1-4 Summit League mark. Last time out, the Bison stopped the Fort Wayne Mastodons, 72-56.
Reilly Jacobson (10.0 ppg) and Rylee Nudell (9.8 ppg) lead the Bison in scoring this season. Michelle Gaislerova, Sarah Jacobson and Taylor Thunstedt are each averaging 9.4 points per game, respectively.
As a team, North Dakota State is averaging 69.3 points, 37.3 rebounds and 14.8 turnovers per game while its opponents are averaging 70.2 points, 39.9 rebounds and 13.9 turnovers per game.
Head coach Maren Walseth is in her fourth season at NDSU with a 32-74 record.
History
Wednesday is the 62nd all-time meeting between Omaha and North Dakota State with the Bison leading the all-time series 45-16. Last season, the Mavericks swept the season series, winning in Fargo, 80-60, before winning 90-64 at Baxter Arena.
