Getting to Know South Dakota State
The Jackrabbits enter Wednesday's matchup with a 10-4 overall record (0-0 Summit League). SDSU dropped its last game to Florida Gulf Coast, 87-78, in Fort Myers, Fla. on Dec. 29, 2017. Macy Miller and Madison Guebert led South Dakota State in scoring with 24 points and 22 points, respectively.
The trio of Miller (18.1ppg, 5.1 reb.), Guebert (14.5 ppg, 2.2rpg) and Myah Selland (10.2ppg, 5.2 rpg) led the Jackrabbits this season. Tagyn Larson (6.9ppg, 5.5 rpg) and Ellie Thompson (6.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg) have proven to be significant contributors as well.
Head coach Aaron Johnston is in his 19th year leading the Jackrabbits and has a career mark of 425-146 in Brookings.
Inside the Series
Wednesday's meeting will be the 72nd all-time meeting between Omaha and South Dakota State. SDSU holds a 38-33 advantage in the series, but the Mavericks won the last meeting 83-82 on Jan. 28, 2017, at Baxter Arena.
