OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Creighton in front of a program record crowd of 4,986 on Tuesday night at Caniglia Field.
The loss was the Mavericks' first at home this season and dropped them to 7-2-1 overall. The Bluejays improved to 6-3 overall.
After 77 minutes of scoreless soccer, Creighton's Lucas Stauffer sent a cross in front of the net, setting up Ricky Lopez-Espin for a header, which beat Omaha goalkeeper
Joseph Ghitis for the lone goal of the game.

Omaha looked to take the lead in the 11th minute.
Diego Gutierrez took a shot from the right wing that CU keeper Michael Kluver deflected. The ball landed at the feet of
Elvir Ibisevic who ripped a shot that found its way into the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed due to an Omaha player being offside.
