About the Mavericks
Omaha is now 0-3 on the season after dropping a 2-0 decision to Northern Iowa last Friday.
Natalie Johnson leads the team with two points and one goal.
Cydney Skinner leads with one assist. Goalkeeper
Haley Johnson (0-1) leads the team with a 2.00 goals-against average and seven saves, while
Erin Bunker (0-2) and a 4.00 goals-against average with two saves.
UNO finished the 2016 season with a 5-11-3 record and a 3-4-1 mark in Summit League play. The Mavericks return six starters from a season ago, including their top three scorers.
Carlie Cook led the team in points (15) and goals (six) last season.
Lydia Holtmann tallied 10 points (four goals, two assists) while
Emily Romero had a team-best five assists.
The Mavericks also return
Erin Dimon and
Sophia Roux. Roux earned a spot on the All-Summit Newcomer team in 2016.
Jessica Bollinger helped anchor a UNO defense that produced four shutouts in 2016. Bunker appeared in four games with three starts last season and posted a 1.39 goals-against average with 13 saves.

Scouting the Kansas State Wildcats

History vs. Kansas State
Omaha enters Wednesday's contest trailing the all-time series with Kansas State, 1-0. The Wildcats defeated the Mavericks 1-0 last year at Caniglia Field.
