OMAHA, Neb. - Courtney Vaccher was named Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances Nov. 20-26, the conference office announced Monday.
Vaccher nabbed her first career player of the week honor after averaging 12.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per contest last week. She shot 81.8 percent (9-of-11) from the field and 100 percent (7-of-7) at the line. The junior leads the league in field goal percentage (.645) and helped Omaha to a four-game win streak
The Yorba Linda, Calif., native helped the Mavericks go 2-0 on the road, registering wins at USC Upstate and Wofford. Vaccher scored 15 points with 11 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in the three-point road win at USC Upstate. On Sunday, she grabbed 13 rebounds in the win at Wofford along with 10 points and two assists.
Vaccher shares this week's honor with Madison Guebert of South Dakota State.
