Omaha Drops 2-1 Contest at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Omaha dropped a 2-1 decision to Missouri State on Friday evening at Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Mo.

UNO is now 2-3 on the season, while Missouri State moved to 1-4-1.

Molly Brewer got the Bears on the board in the 10th minute.  Rachel Catrell beat a Maverick defender and slotted a pass to Brewer who found the back of the net.

Missouri State added its second goal of the half in the 33rd minute.  Brewer sent a ball across the box to Ashley Coonfield who placed it low to the far side for a 2-0 lead.

Izzy Anders put the Mavs on the board in the 84th minute.  Carlie Cook fought her way through a pile of players and got a pass off to Anders who calmly placed the shot into the goal.

The Mavs are back at home Sunday, Sept. 11 at Caniglia Field to host Dayton at 11:30 a.m., and links to live stats and video will be available on OMavs.com.
