OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha women's soccer head coach Don Klosterman announced his team's schedule for the 2015 season on Thursday.  The Mavericks are eligible for Summit League and NCAA Division I postseason competition beginning this season.

"We have a strong schedule this year that will be competitive for us," said Klosterman.  "Our non-conference schedule will prepare us for a tough Summit League season.

"It has been a challenging four-year reclassification from Division II to Division I, but the work done by our players during that time has prepared us well as we move forward."

The Mavericks will play 10 regular season home matches at Caniglia Field and eight road matches highlighted by visits to Iowa, North Dakota, Creighton, and Minnesota.

UNO opens the season with a road exhibition match at Wyoming on Aug. 13 prior to hosting Kansas City for a second exhibition game on Aug. 16.

The Mavericks open the regular season on the road against Iowa on Aug. 23.

Omaha closes out the first month of competition with a pair of home games welcoming Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois on Aug. 28 and Aug. 30.

In September, the Mavericks begin with road games at Creighton on Sept. 4 and North Dakota on Sept. 6.  They return home to host Drake on Sept. 11 before visiting Minnesota two days later.

Omaha wraps up its non-conference schedule with three straight home games, facing Colorado State (Sept. 18), Northern Colorado (Sept. 20) and Missouri State (Sept. 22).

In Summit League play, Omaha faces IUPUI, Western Illinois, South Dakota, and Denver at home.  The Mavericks travel to North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Fort Wayne, and Oral Roberts.

UNO plays back-to-back road games to kick-off the Summit League schedule, facing North Dakota State on Oct. 2 and South Dakota State on Oct. 4.  The Mavericks' first league game at home is Oct. 9 against IUPUI.

The top four teams in the regular season standings qualify for the Summit League tournament Nov. 5-7 in Brookings, S.D. The tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
