DUNNELLON, Florida – The Omaha women's golf team tied for 15th at the MSU Ocala Spring Invitational on Tuesday.

The Mavericks finished with a team score of 955 over three rounds at the Juliette Falls Golf Resort, putting them in a tie with Tampa.  South Dakota State won the event with a score of 899.  Daytona State College was second, just one stroke back, and Murray State, Western Kentucky and South Alabama tied for third at 902.

Katie Kesti led the Mavericks on day three and was their top scorer for the tournament.  She shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish at 232, good for 43rd place.  She was one stroke ahead of Sophie Peters who shot a score of 82 in round three to finish in a tie for 44th.

Megan Vetrovsky carded a score of 81 in the final round to finish at 234, good for a tie for 51st.  Makenna Kroeker shot her second straight round of 85 on Tuesday for a total score of 256, putting her 92nd.

Alexa Ruwe concluded the scoring for the Mavericks with a score of 92 in round three for a three-day total of 278.

The Mavericks return to action at the Saluki Invitational at Southern Illinois on March 29-30.
