DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. – The Omaha women's golf team is in tie for sixth after the first two rounds of the South Dakota Coyote Classic on Monday at Dakota Dunes Country Club.

The Mavericks are tied with North Dakota with a 36-hole team score of 656.  North Dakota State leads with a score of 609 with Drake second at 627.  Bellevue is in third at 632.

Sophie Peters led the Mavs in scoring on day one with a two-round score of 157 that included rounds of 80 and 77.  She is 11th overall.  Megan Vetrovsky shot 78 and 82 for a score of 160 that has her in a tie for 15th place.

Katie Kesti is third for UNO and is tied for 28th overall with a scores of 81-85-166.  Makenna Kroeker shot rounds of 89 and 84 for a total of 173 that has her fourth for the Mavs and tied for 36th overall.

Katelyn Strudthoff is 44th overall with a 36-hole total score of 191.

The final round begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
