SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Omaha women's golf team moved up to 14th place after the second day of play at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial at Missouri State.
As a team, the Mavericks shot a score of 318 on Monday and now have a 36-hole total score of 642. Oral Roberts continues to lead with a score of 588. Wichita State is second at 595, and host Missouri State is third at 600.
For the second straight day, freshman
Megan Vetrovsky shot UNO's best score. She carded a round of 74 and now sits at 150 through the first 36 holes, good for a tie for 10th overall.
Sophie Peters fired an 80 on Monday for a two-day total of 159 to put her in a tie for 51st.
Katie Kesti shot 81 and is now at 166 for 36 holes, good for a tie for 75th.
Makenna Kroeker shot 83 and now has a total score of 172, putting her in 82nd place.
Alexa Ruwe is fifth for the Mavericks with a score of 175 after a round of 91 on Monday. She is in 84th place.
The final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
