UNO Athletics Sends off 46 Seniors

OMAHA, Neb. - Sixteen student-athletes took part in on-campus graduation ceremonies at the University of Nebraska Omaha last weekend.  They are part of a student-athlete senior class of 46 who was recently honored for their careers at UNO's Senior Night and Awards Banquet.

Baseball featured the most seniors this year with nine, although none of those student-athletes could participate in graduation ceremonies because they were playing in a three-game series at Kansas State.  Both softball and women's tennis were the best represented women's sports with six seniors each.  Only men's golf and cross country did not have a graduating senior.

All three hockey seniors – John Faulkner, Kyle Ensign and Matt Smith – took part in graduation as did the only graduating seniors from women's basketball and women's golf, Heather Pohl and Rebecca Pollock respectively.  UNO athletics' senior class featured 18 men and 28 women.
