FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The UNO women's golf team shot 348 on Tuesday to finish ninth overall at the IPFW Spring Classic.
Melyssa Doerr led the way in the second round with a score of 83.
The Mavericks finished with a two-day total of 687. Indianapolis completed a wire-to-wire win with a team score of 640, easily outdistancing runner-up Chicago State at 662. Southern Illinois-Edwardsville was third at 671.
Rebecca Pollock shot 84 on Tuesday and led UNO for the tournament with a score of 162. She finished ninth overall. Doerr was second for UNO at 171 to finish in a tie for 27th. She was followed by Brooke Thilges and
Elizabeth Havekost who had 36-hole scores of 177, good for a tie for 41st. Havekost shot 90 in round two while Thilges carded a 91.
Danielle Kuchar completed the scoring for UNO at 183 which included a round of 92 on Tuesday.
The Mavericks have a quick turnaround to their next event. They'll compete in the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational hosted by Bradley on Friday and Saturday, April 6-7.
