Rebecca Pollock shot 79 on Tuesday to lead the UNO women's golf team to a ninth-place finish at the Creighton Golf Classic, the Mavs' final event of the year.
The Mavericks finished with a team score of 695. Northern Iowa won the event with a two-round score of 635. Southern Illinois was second just one shot back while South Dakota State finished third at 659. The tournament featured 14 teams.
Pollock finished with a two-day total of 159, 15 over par, to finish first in scoring for UNO and in a tie for sixth overall.
Elizabeth Havekost was second for UNO after firing an 88 on Tuesday. She finished with a total score of 178 to finish in a tie for 49th in the 82-player field.
Melyssa Doerr bounced back from a 98 on Monday with a round of 84 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at 182, third for UNO and tied for 62nd overall. Brooke Thilges was fourth for the Mavs after her second round of 92. She finished tied for 68th overall.
Danielle Kuchar rounded out the scoring for UNO with a 36-hole score of 194 at the Oak Hills Country Club.
The tournament brought an end to the collegiate career of Pollock who finished with UNO's leading scoring average for the season at just over 80 for 22 rounds this season.
