OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO women's golf team is in 11th place after the first round of the Creighton Classic being held at the Oak Hills Country Club.  It is the Mavericks' last event of the season.

The Mavericks carded a team score of 352 over the first 18 holes.  Northern Iowa leads the 14-team field with a first-round team score of 309.  Southern Illinois is second at 324, one stroke better than South Dakota State in third.

Rebecca Pollock shot 80 over the par 72, 6,080-yard layout to lead UNO in scoring, putting her in a tie for seventh in the 82-player field.  Elizabeth Havekost and Danielle Kuchar each shot 90 to tie for second for the Mavericks and 52nd overall.  Brooke Thilges is fourth for the Mavs and in a tie for 59th with a score of 92.  Melyssa Doerr fired a 98 to finish fifth for UNO.

Round two begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
