Round 2

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Elizabeth Havekost shot a team-best round of 80 on the second day of play at the Monterey Bay Invitational.

The Mavericks remain in 11th place with a team score of 687.  Co-host Missouri State leads for the second straight day with a score of 610.  Wichita State moved into second place with a team score of 628 while Winthrop is third, two strokes back.  There are 14 teams in the tournament at the Del Monte Golf Course.

Havekost shot eight strokes better than her round one score and has a two-day total of 168, ranking second for UNO and in a tie for 50th overall. 

Rebecca Pollock carded a score of 84 on Monday for a two-day score of 163 to lead UNO in scoring.  She is tied for 32nd overall.  Brooke Thilges shot an 87 in round two and is third in scoring for UNO with a total of 176.

Melyssa Doerr had 89 for a two-day total of 190, ranking fourth for UNO.  Danielle Kuchar rounded out the scoring for the Mavericks with a 96 on Tuesday for a total score of 187.

The final round will be Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. CT.
