Round 1 Results
ELMO, Minn. - Sophomore Brooke Thilges tied a career high for 18 holes to lead the UNO women's golf team to fifth place after the first round of the Wildwood Lodge/Concordia Invitational on Sunday.
Thilges is in a three-way tie for fourth overall after carding a 78 in cool and rainy conditions. That score matched her previous career best set last September at the Iowa Western Fall Invite.
The Mavericks are in fifth place after the first round at the Tartan Park Golf Club with a team score of 340. Southwest Minnesota State leads after day one with a score of 317. Augustana is in second at 320 and host Concordia St. Paul is third, just one stroke behind.
Armana Christianson was second for UNO and 19th overall with a score of 84 over the 5,931-yard layout. Rebecca Pollock shot an 86 on day one, putting her third for the Mavs and tied for 21st overall. Melyssa Doerr carded a 92 and Elizabeth Havekost had a 93 to round out the scoring.
The final round begins with a shotgun start on Monday at 9:30 a.m.
