BOLIVAR, Mo. - The UNO women's golf team moved up three spots from round one to finish in fifth place at the Drury University Fall Shootout on Tuesday.
Armana Christianson led the Mavericks with a score of 158.
California University of Pennsylvania completed a wire-to-wire win with a team score of 609, three strokes better than host Drury which finished second. Augustana finished in third at 620.
Three of the five Maverick golfers improved their scores from day one, fueling the move up the leaderboard at the Silo Ridge Country Club. Christianson shot a 78 after an 80 in round one to finish first for the Mavs and in 13th overall.
Rebecca Pollock shot UNO's low round for the day at 77 to finish at 160, good for a tie for 18th.
Melyssa Doerr was third for the Mavs with a score of 167, one stroke ahead of Brooke Thilges. She finished fourth for UNO after shooting 79 in round two, 10 strokes better than day one. She posted a score of 168.
Elizabeth Havekost was fifth for UNO with a two-round score of 176.
The Mavericks return to the course on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 18 and 19, at the Concordia Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
