BOLIVAR, Mo. - Armana Christianson shot a first-round score of 80 to lead the UNO women's golf team in the first day of action at the Drury University Fall Shootout.

The Mavericks are in eighth place out of 18 teams after the first round of the new season with a team score of 331.  California University of Pennsylvania leads the tournament with a team score of 302 followed by host Drury at 305 and Augustana College at 314.

Christianson is in a seven-way tie for 18th after carding an eight-over-par score on the par-72 layout at Silo Ridge Country Club.  Melyssa Doerr is second for the Mavs and tied for 32nd overall with a score of 82.  Rebecca Pollock was one shot back for the Mavs with an 83 followed by Elizabeth Havekost who carded an 86.  Brooke Thilges had an 89 after round one.

The final round of the tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
