OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Nebraska at Omaha athletic department will honor its 61 graduating student-athletes and celebrate the achievements of all of its athletes at the first ever Senior Banquet.  The event will be held at Qwest Center Omaha on Sunday, April 25 beginning at 6 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.

As part of the evening, UNO will highlight the athletic, academic and civic accomplishments of all of its student-athletes.

Reservations for the event may be purchased by calling Geri Backora in the UNO athletic department office at (402) 554-2506.  The deadline for reservations is Wednesday, April 21.

UNO will hand out several awards at the Senior Banquet.  The Mavericks will recognize the Male and Female Senior Athlete of the Year.  They also will recognize the Phoenix Award winner, the student-athlete from any class who has overcome adversity during his/her UNO career; and the Humanitarian Award winner, the student-athlete from any class who has given the most of their time to community involvement.
