Bergland, Lingenfelter Continue to Garner Honors

All-Super Region Four Teams

OMAHA, Neb. - UNO offensive linemen Dennis Bergland and Harrison Lingenfelter continue to pick up post-season awards, as both were included on the Daktronics All-Super Region Four first team, announced on Wednesday.

Bergland, a native of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Lingenfelter, from Plainview, Neb., started all 11 games for the Mavs, helping anchor an offensive line that led the Mavs to the second-best rushing offense (202.6 ypg) in the MIAA and the fourth-best scoring offense (34.8 ppg). Bergland, Lingenfelter and the offensive line unit allowed only 13 sacks on the season, the second lowest total in the MIAA.

This is the first time that Bergland and Lingenfelter, both seniors in 2010, have been selected to the Daktronics All-Super Region Four team. Lingenfelter was honored by Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-Super Region Four team as a third-team selection after his junior season in 2009.

Both Bergland and Lingenfelter were honored two weeks ago with All-MIAA first-team selections.
