Dani Suponchick of Papillion-LaVista South High School, has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha and play golf for the Mavericks next fall, head coach Tim Nelson announced.

Suponchick shot a 36-hole total of 166 at Grand Island's Indian Head Golf Club to place seventh last fall. She finished in the top 10 in 9 of 10 tournaments and won the Lincoln Northeast Invitational at Mahoney Golf Club with a 77.

Suponchick is a three-sport standout at Papillion-LaVista South and is also the senior class president and vice president of the student council. The four-year honor roll student was the school's homecoming queen last fall.

She also lettered in basketball and soccer and earned academic all-state honors in the fall. Suponchick (pronounced Soop-ON-chick), is the daughter of Bob and Trisha Suponchick.
