UNO has captured the North Central Conference women's all-sports award for a second time, helping the school to a fourth-place overall finish. Maverick men's and women's teams claimed seven league championships and were second four times in 14 sports.
Minnesota State, with 194 points, won the NCC Cup, followed by North Dakota at 188, South Dakota at 184 and UNO at 182 points. St. Cloud State, Augustana and Minnesota Duluth were next in line.
UNO women's teams had conference titles in soccer, softball, swimming & diving and tennis and finished second in golf, outdoor track and indoor track.
Maverick men's teams, competing in just four of the 10 sports offered in the NCC, finished first in football, basketball and baseball, while the wrestling team was second before going on to capture the NCAA II title.
