Sioux Falls, S.D.--Augustana's Kevin Wiessner belted two walk off home runs to lift the Vikings to a doubleheader sweep and a spot in the North Central Conference Tournament on Saturday.
In the first game, Nebraska-Omaha held a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning until Augustana loaded the bases with a walk, a hit batsman and a base hit. Wiessner then connected for a grand slam to give the Vikings a 7-4 victory.
In the nightcap, the Mavericks scored four runs in the top of the 10th inning to take a 7-3 lead but the Vikings fought back to tie the game in the bottom of the inning with four runs of their own. That set the stage for Wiessner, who finished the day with six RBI. He hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Augustana an 8-7 win.
UNO's
Troy Cloyd struck out eight in 9 1/3 innings in the second game.
