Trenton Royse joined the Omaha athletic training staff in August of 2019. He works with the men’s Soccer, men’s tennis, and softball teams.  

Royse handles the inventory and ordering processes for the sports medicine department and is also the Gatorade representative for the Omaha summer camps. He serves as a clinical preceptor in the UNO Athletic Training Education Program.  

Prior to joining the Mavericks, Royse served two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the men’s soccer team at Oral Roberts. 

As a student athletic trainer at Nebraska, Royse worked with the football, track and field, women’s basketball, and the tennis teams. 

During the summer of 2016, Royse worked as an intern athletic trainer with the Kansas City Chiefs.  


A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Royse earned a bachelor of science degree in athletic training from the Nebraska in May 2017.  Royse earned a master of education degree from Oral Roberts in May 2019. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), Mid-America Athletic Trainer’s Association (MAATA), and the Nebraska State Athletic Trainer’s Association (NSATA).   

He currently resides in Omaha with his wife, Becca, their daughters Skylar and Brooklyn, and their two cats, Rhae and Parker.
