Dr. Lindsey Hauser

    Associate Athletic Director - Clinical and Performance Psychology/Sports Psychologist

Dr. Hauser joined the Omaha Athletic Department as the Associate AD of Clinical and Sport Performance in August 2023. In this role, she oversees the mental health and performance intersect of all Maverick athletes. She provides psychological services, mental skills training, team building and leadership development for all Maverick athletes, coaches, and support staff.

Prior to Omaha Athletics, Dr. Hauser spent 15 years at Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health and one year at Creighton University. At Boys Town, Dr. Hauser was the Assistant Director of Training. She tailored her clinical practice to focus on supporting mental health of older-adolescents, emerging adults and student-athletes from across the Omaha community. Dr. Hauser completed her APA-Accredited Internship with the Creighton University counseling center with focus on generalized mental health, student transitions, and eating disorder treatment from 2007-2008. Since January of 2021, Dr. Hauser has been listed as a provider in the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee Mental Health Registry.

Dr. Hauser graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Psychology before earning her master's and doctorate degrees from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology in 2008. While at USD she was a member of the Swimming & Diving team as a springboard diver where she competed at the National level for 3 consecutive years.

Dr. Hauser resides in Omaha with her husband, Lance, and two sons, Jameson and Chase.
