Bill Sanders has served as Omaha's head equipment manager since 2008. He began his career at UNO as an assistant equipment manager in 2005 and also worked in operations, facilities and game management roles.
As a student at Northern Colorado, Sanders worked as a student manager for the Bears' football program from 2001 to 2005.
Sanders' family has been a long-standing presence at UNO. His grandmother, Bev, was the women's equipment manager from 1978 to 2001, while his grandfather, Jerry, was an assistant softball coach under Connie Claussen and served as an off-ice official for hockey games from 1997 - 2020. Sanders' aunt, Jody, played softball for the Mavericks from 1978 to 1982.
Sanders and his wife, Erin, have two sons, Austin and Braden.
