Ted Kopacz was named an assistant coach in June 2022.
Kopacz spent the last two seasons with Colorado as a volunteer assistant coach. He was responsible for assisting in the training of the team's defensive schemes, alignment, and techniques for both the block and team floor defense. Among his other responsibilities, Kopacz worked with players on film review, opponent scouting reports, and evaluation of players.
While with the Buffaloes, Kopacz mentored libero Brynna DeLuzio who was named a PAC-12 Honorable Mention. She led the league in digs (500) and digs per set (4.67). She was just the second Buff to eclipse 500 digs in a season, and she set the highest digs per set in CU history.
Prior to joining the CU staff, Kopacz was a senior account manager at bswift, while also offering his services as a high school coaching consultant, working with several different clubs and high school teams in the Chicagoland area
Kopacz played collegiate volleyball at Indiana from 2012-16. He was a team captain and earned All-Big Ten and All-MIVA honors. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in informatics and computing with a focus on sports analytics.
