Head coach Matt Buttermore announced the addition of Maggie Baumert as an assistant coach for the Omaha volleyball program in 2019.

Baumert was most recently an assistant coach at Drake University. In her year with the Bulldogs, Baumert worked primarily with the team's setters and served as recruiting coordinator. A native of Elkhorn, Neb., the former Creighton standout spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons as an assistant at Central Michigan. Baumert joined the CMU program as a volunteer assistant coach in August 2016 and was promoted to full-time assistant coach the following season.

At CMU, Baumert worked with the setters and the team's offensive systems. She began her coaching career working camps at her alma mater and for three years with Volleyball Club Nebraska.

As a student-athlete at Creighton, Baumert was a setter and helped lead the Bluejays to BIG EAST regular-season and tournament championships in 2014 and 2015. She was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and the league all-tournament squad in 2015 when the Bluejays advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Baumert earned her bachelor of science in psychology from Creighton in 2016 and her master's in sports administration from Central Michigan in 2018.
