Iowa Central Community College:
Was the Female Athlete of the Year for the Tritons as a sophomore...served as cross country captain and was voted Most Inspirational and Hardest Worker by her teammates...was an All-American after posting an eighth-place finish in the mile during the indoor track season...outdoors, placed fifth nationally in the steeplechase and was a member of the 4x800 meter relay that finished fourth...was also a member of the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.

Riverside High School:
Ran cross country and track all four years for the Bulldogs...qualified for the state championship in cross country each year...helped lead her team to the conference championship and a tie for third place in the state meet...helped Riverside to a third-place finish in the state track meet while placing second in the mile and third in the 3,000 meters.

Personal:
Born June 20, 1989...daughter of Warren and Ann Vorthmann...has one sister, Ruby Bauer...majoring in business marketing...lists skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycling and jet skiing as hobbies...chose UNO to be close to family.
