Hunter Clark

Clark comes to Omaha after a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Utah State. Last season with the Aggies, he helped lead them to an 18-5 record and a Mountain West regular season title (first since 2018). The team stayed in the ITA top 75 team rankings the entire season and peaked at No. 53 in the country. They finished the season at No. 66. Clark had a hand in coaching senior Bodin Zarkovic, who became the first regional champion in program history last year. He rose as high as No. 96 in the national singles rankings, which was a program record. To close out the 2023-24 season, five of his players were named All-Conference and first year racket Mohammad Alkotop was named Freshman of the Year.

In the 2022-23 season, the team posted an overall record of 12-13 to finish tied for third in the Mountain West Conference. He helped lead two of his players to the All-Mountain West Singles and Doubles teams.

Clark entered the coaching ranks in 2019-20 as a volunteer assistant for the University of Washington women's tennis team. The Huskies were 11-3 prior to the season being canceled due to COVID-19. Washington finished 2020 with a final ITA Ranking of 27th and reached as high as 14th. He coached Vanessa Wong, who was ranked the No. 75 singles player in the country and Natsuho Arakawa, who along with Wong, were the No. 59 ranked doubles team in the country.

He spent time in the Summit League in the 2020-21 season as a volunteer coach for the women’s program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He assisted the Roos to a 5-1 record in league play and a berth in the championship match of the Summit League Tournament. Clark also spent his collegiate playing days in Kansas City from 2016-2019. He was a part of two conference championship winning teams (2017, 2018) and was a two-year captain of the Roos.

Following his stint in Kansas City, he spent the 2021 Fall season as the men's assistant coach at UAB.
