Omaha Athletics

Sam Lee joined the Omaha staff as Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in August 2021. He directs all aspects of training for the Maverick tennis and swimming and diving programs.

 Lee previously served as the Strength and Conditioning coach at Blue Earth Area High School from September 2020 to July 2021. He was a part-time assistant football coach at Augustana University from August 2019 to January 2020, helping with the offensive line. Lee was a Part-Time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Augustana from August 2018 to January 2019, working with the women’s basketball, wrestling, and men’s and women’s golf programs.

 Lee is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

 A native of Blue Earth, MN., Lee was a former All-American, William V. Campbell Trophy Semifinalist and 4-year letterwinner as a member of the Augustana University football team. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Augustana in December 2017 and is currently working on his master’s degree in Health and Kinesiology here at UNO.
