    Goalkeeper Coach
Brian Holt joined the UNO staff as the goalkeeper coach before the 2012 season. Holt was an NSCAA First-Team All-American goalie at Creighton in 2011, helping the Bluejays to the NCAA College Cup final four teams, where he was named to the College Cup All-Tournament Team. 

Holt set an NCAA record with his 0.207 goals against average, and he was named MVC Goalkeeper of the Year after leading the NCAA with a 92.3 save percentage and 17 shutouts. Holt finished his career with an NCAA-record 44 shutouts. His 0.62 career GAA stands as a school and Missouri Valley Conference record. 

Holt won the Lowe’s Senior Class Award and also was named CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year as the top Division I Men’s Soccer Academic All-American. He was also a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, awarded anually to the top college soccer player in the nation. 

The Omaha, Neb., native was named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year in 2008 before receiving All-MVC Second-Team honors during his sophomore and junior seasons. He won three MVC Defensive Player of the Week awards and one College Soccer News National Player of the Week award in his career. 

Following his career, Holt signed with the Harrisburg City Islanders of the United Soccer League. The City Islanders advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this past June. Holt is also a Reading United AC alum, having played for the USL PDL team in 2011, where he was an All-Eastern Conference selection.
